Ramya faces the ire of Hindu outfit




Actress Ramya who has acted in a few hit Tamil films like Kuthu, Polladhavan and Vaaranam Aayiram is currently a member of Congress Party and also an elected Member of Parliament from  Mandya constituency. 

Recently the actress turned politician has tweeted condemning the Tamilnadu Government's decision to release the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi Murder convicts.

Ramya's allegiance to her party high command has earned the ire of a Hindu organization called Hindu Munnani. They have condemned the actress for speaking against Tamilnadu Government's decision stating that releasing Life term convicts on the basis of compassion is an accepted procedure
Stating her comments as 'Anti Tamil; the group has claimed that many Tamil film actresses who come from other states have in the past indulged in such activities against Tamils.
The Hindu outfit has called for a ban on Ramya to act in Tamil films.
It is to be noted here that, Ramya who was a leading heroine in Kannada film industry before entering politics has recently announced that she will not act in films anymore.
