Shankar, Kamal..what next for Ravi Varman?


Cinematographer Ravi Varman shot to fame in Tamil with the Shankar directed film Anniyan, the blockbuster film of 2005. Initially it was Manikandan who was supposed to handle the camera for the Vikram-Sadha Starrer but could shoot only a part of the film and Ravi Varman joined Shankar's team to shoot the remaining part. 
Later on he worked with Kamalhassan in Gautham Menon directed film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and the Ulaganayagan's magnum opus Dasavatharam which created many records. 
Today, Ravi Varman is one of the leading lensmen in the Bollywood industry. His works for the commercially successful and critically acclaimed films like Barfi and Ram Leela have garnered international recognition.
This time Ravi Varman is going to team up with Mani Ratnam .
As we have reported earlier Mani Ratnam is planning a bilingual film and as of now Telugu star Mahesh Babu has been confirmed to play the lead role in it. The director's preferred heroine and the former Miss World Aishwarya Rai has also been reportedly finalized to play a character with negative shades. Mani is expected to start shooting the film from the month of June. The film will have music composed by Isaipuyal  A.R.Rahman who has confirmed the same in a recent interview.
